These tabs help to prevent tarnish and corrosion by reacting with and permanently neutralizing the gases that cause tarnish.

To use, simply place a strip or tab near polished metal in an enclosed area, such as jewelry cases, storage bags or boxes, china cabinets, silverware chests, musical instrument cases or trophy cases.

NOTE: These strips and tabs have approximately 1 year shelf life after it is put into service (in service is when the end customer starts using the product out of the packaging or bags). Some customers report protection to up to 5 years,  after it is put in service. With more care keeping unused strips and tabs enclosed tightly when not in use, extends shelf life dramatically. Ideal storage is in a resealable zip-lock style bag. The bags with wire ties are fine as long as they have a tight twist in the bag where the wire ties go. If the strips or tabs are left exposed to the air for extended periods they will eventually become saturated with pollutants, the paper is working all the time it is exposed. The area an end user is working in will contribute to shortening the life, heavy industrial areas or near an ocean among others.
